A Living Love

A Living Love

By Alisa Battaglia

“Let us not Love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” John 3:18

Permanently extending Valentines Day over the rest of our lives could transform us and furthermore, extend our love on a wider scale of Goodwill towards all sentient life that could certainly transform the world!

Let everyday be an expression of your love and gratitude for your loved ones and essential kindness towards others. There is no need to wait for the annual reminder of Valentine’s Day to authentically share your heart. Presents are a delightful way to enter the doorway of surprise, but remember it’s not really about buying cards, chocolate and gifts or spending money that is wiser spent elsewhere. It is rather time well spent with the one you love intimately bringing you closer together, in body, heart and Soul.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For Love is sufficient unto Love.

When you love you should not say, “God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am in the heart of God.”
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy directs your course.

Love has no desire but to fulfill itself. But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love; and to bleed willingly and joyfully. To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving; To rest at the noon hour and mediate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude; And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.”

Responding to Your Clarion Call

Responding to Your Clarion Call

Those who have ears, may they hear.”

 By Alisa Battaglia

The energetic impulse of 2020 is about taking action in our lives with enthusiasm while standing at the edge of a precipice. It is about initiative that is provoked from deep within to awaken us in some way-to shatter the false security beneath our feet. The quickening message may come from our intuition, inspiration or the stark reality of our situation, through a tragedy of some sort, the loss of a job or even threatened health. Whatever sphere of life that requires attentive action, the arising impulse from within us is about the need to make visible alterations in and out side ourselves. For many, this wake-up call is felt as an unwelcome intrusion disturbing the safe harbor of our mechanical ways, which requires letting go of foundations previously counted upon. Here we are shown where we have given our power away, as no form can seduce us, use us, or betray us without our permission and cooperation. Discernment is the faculty we use to determine the true nature of any image or situation.

Mastering our lives is about finding the balance point between our need to control and the call to entirely surrender unto the wisdom of our Essential Self, as Soul or Spirit. For some this may be about trusting in the movement of Spirit and putting “knowing,”- the Spirit of Truth into action, while for others there may be a need to confront deeply buried fear of the power that is their Essence. Still, some may be a need to cultivate the character to be less critical and more accepting, or a relationship may demand new ways of relating. The inner call, too, may be to implement new ideas into a project, such as writing a book or changing an avocation into a vocation, in order to serve in joy. Whatever the need, the true wisdom of our experience is showing us the power of choice, that we can choose love and trust over fear and doubt.

Too often, when the clarion call comes we ignore our internal signals of closing and opening doors to change. We resist that which seeks new direction and grasp to our myriad attachments, ways of thinking and doing in fear of what a life of meaning and purpose may demand of us. Sometimes we may need to say “No” to a potential door opener, which is a valid choice when the timing is not ripe when instead what may be required of us is more discipline, more patience and a deeper trust that the Universe is essentially supportive. However, when we refuse all signals to align our lives in rhythm with Source and let fear override a deeper connection with our Essence, we bifurcate and move against ourselves that carries even more consequences. This is when the Universe, through the Magnetic Law of Attraction and the greater wisdom of our Soul intercedes thus, designing the forms of loss we encounter meant to pull us onto a path of illumination. Hence, the greater our attachments the more painfully we experience loss.

The cyclic energy of Earth through the first quarter of the new year calls us to take hold of the Universe’s positive energy to guide us into action, to make choices-to reset our goals, clear space to embrace the new and to honor the expression of our inner calling with courage and commitment. This enlivening energy asks us to accept responsibility, to leave our comfortable past and abandon our imagined futures, reconcile and transcend, as Truth arises from within. When we say “Yes,” to life we feel a quickening within our hearts, we breathe deeply, and embrace everything with flexibility to the changes life presents to us through synchronicity and golden opportunity. We reap rich rewards when we believe enough in our selves to pursue our inner call and invite the dialog of love into everything. Fostering a support system helps to ground our creative energies and acts to lend clear vision of what we want and where we are going that then makes us accountable in fulfilling our goals.

If nothing else, remember this. “The Master of Divine Sovereignty” is inside each and every one of us. Let choice allow its presence to occupy the place of authority in each of our experiences. Surrender unto its guide every thought, word and action to produce a sense of security, a strong foundation far beyond anything previously known. Let the powerful transformative Saturnian energies of Capricorn help stave off our personal attachments to stories, experiences, and fears. Let it be about how each embrace their Soul’s authority and step into the lineage of Light that we are. This is my wish for us all!”

Integrity ~ Operating in Truth

Integrity
Operating in Truth

By Alisa Battaglia

Integrity is a virtue that relates to the quality of a person’s character–of integrating various parts of the personality into a harmonious, intact whole. Integrity is primarily a matter of keeping the self intact and uncorrupted. About embracing a point of view that does not just take the moral high ground, but pursues a commitment to do what is best. This means that we bring various levels of volition and desire into harmony and fully identify with them at the highest level. To do so we are urged to be conceptually clear, logically consistent, apprised of relevant empirical evidence, and careful about acknowledging as well as weighing relevant moral considerations. In other words to operate from our truth, which means that self-knowledge is crucial as we must know what we value.

What is it to be a person of integrity?

Whenever we state our truth in word, action, thought or otherwise, we empower ourselves by aligning with our personal code of conduct–what we decide is right or wrong for us. We make our own decisions and operate with integrity in terms of commitments to specific kinds of ends, principles and ideals. This care of self allows us to hold steadfastly true to our commitments, rather than ordering and endorsing desires.

When we live with integrity we have no reason to lie. We always win when we reduce confusion about how we feel. Life is uncomplicated and less stressful. It is much easier to live life when we are open and truthful because there is nothing to hide.

A plethora of human characteristics such as capriciousness, wantonness, triviality, disintegration, weakness of will, self deception, self-ignorance, mendacity, hypocrisy, arrogance, dogmatism, fanaticism, monomania, preciousness, sanctimoniousness, rigidity, indifference and so on drive us to moral failure. All these traits can defeat integrity in so far as they undermine and suppress attempts to critically assess and balance desires, commitments, wishes, changing goals and other factors. A person of integrity will find a mean between the excesses of each one of these vices, or traits or practices that undermines integrity.

There are also many defeaters of integrity who try to waiver us from operating in our truth. For instance so-called experts seek to further their own agendas by persuading and manipulating with half truths to get us to do what they want. The same idea applies to our family, spouse and friends. Oftentimes, inexperience succumbs to those who appear more knowing and powerful than us. This causes us to live out of alignment with our truth. Whenever we abandon what we know to be true and act from the strongest current desire of the moment, with no deliberation or discrimination between more or less worthwhile desires, we clearly act without integrity. Each time we go against our inner knowing we lose a little more of ourselves. Nothing pulls us further out of alignment and makes us more miserable than “selling out” and failing to stick to our integrity.

When we operate with personal integrity we refuse to agree with what is wrong, because we KNOW that something does not add up. We agree or disagree simply based on what we know to be true, not on what others want us to believe. We know the truth when we see it. Truth is our barometer, the measure stick of all things.

Rejecting Feelings of Fear

Rejecting Feelings of Fear
By Alisa Battaglia

“Be attentive to your thoughts for your thoughts control your
emotions. Your emotions control your words. Your words control your actions and your actions determine your character and your character determines your Legacy. “

Do not shrug the fear that enters your body mind. Feel it, place it within its proper context & move on. This does not mean that you won’t feel fear again, but you must know how to appropriately metabolize it so that it passes through your body rather than stuck within your tissues and bones and imprinted into your neural network.  Stuck emotions cause inner paralysis and perceptual distortion.

Holding onto fear borne through perceptions of finite limitation, separation, and disorder, and cultural archetypes and relationship patterns (Victim-Victimizer Game) are themes that underlie familiar disharmonious patterns that form the basis for so much dysfunction. Dysfunction always creates mistrust and constant doubt that paves the way to feeling helpless and living a reactive life where you are not in control of your experiences.

Allowing your emotions to blow out is about “not managing” your emotions. This not being steady in the Self causes you to hold on and attach to that which feels safe. Such attachments may be your need to feel accepted – approved of by others, enamored to a certain external identity, elevated in spiritual ego or conditioned in unconscious reaction. Any focus on the approval of others, the dependency of the mask you wear is false and is what creates the distortions between the limitless Self and the egos attachments.

Make no mistake that abiding in a bubble that is terminally one sided, that is too far off in one direction, causes abreactions even when you are presented with love.  In that gift there will be resistance in the receiving, because no space or emptying has been made inside to receive it. Your refusal to feel and/or limit your capacity to properly deal with what flows through your feeling centers produces a recoiling effect where the energy becomes bound in the body rather than processed through it much like a sieve.

There are certain things you must keep in mind. One is that Fear, all emotions not aligned in love, is due to the unknown.  Without the capacity to feel the variations of fear you are unable to know your uncomfortable feelings in order to integrate them into your experience. When you make your emotions unwelcome, you reject them and the personality remains undeveloped and unbalanced and natural spiritual evolution is halted.

Getting in touch with the emotional body and purifying the strategic patterns of conditioning is fundamental to all else and yet, it is the meeting of your fears that is the most ignored. Due to unprocessed fear and denial to see and be with what is real, you develop inner strategies to dupe yourself into believing that everything is okay, while you tuck your head deep under the sand, blinded and in the dark. Unresponsive to the reality that to face your fear, to feel it and move  forward despite it, is the very action that will shift fear into courage and self empowerment.  This is the way to meet all forms of resistance in the world, both inner and outer.  Feel the fear & do it anyway. Let this be your guiding mantra.

Harnessing your fear towards right process will cultivate your inner faculties to make your feelings of fear your ally.  Fear will serve as your barometer as to what is real or imagined.  Once fear is placed within its proper context, you use your feeling faculty to discern the origins of the fear bracket and its level of authenticity within its context. Next, you allow in those feelings in with a dis-impassioned interest and let them out as you disassemble the distorted patterns of belief without getting caught in the mire of judgment. When you label your emotions as good or bad you shut down the “allowing process.” Judgment creates blockers by contracting your perception and thereby, blocking your ability to properly recognize familiar disharmonious patterns in the breadth of the feelings that make you “feel” so uncomfortable in the first pace. You are always to look for the patterns in things, which allows for a wider scope of seeing, whereas labels are always limited to their definition.

Remember that emotions have natural ebb and flow qualities and must be allowed to flow through the body.  This is what it means that, “You are not your emotions,” but you are responsible for managing them, which is to place them in right context for inspection and release, or retain them for integration into higher wisdom in order to expand your light quotient and increase your vibration to higher reaching responses.

Learning to manage your emotional kaleidoscope is to begin to understand the language of your complex feeling nature expressed through the wisdom of your body.  And fear is only a singular facet in the emotional mosaic, which need not define, just simply be acknowledged and taken higher where it can be dissolved and viewed with greater understanding and polarized into Love.

No matter the depth and expansion of your consciousness, there are always shadows with various hues that play hide and seek or reveal another facet to provide you with a new perceptual angle.  Allow radiant light to pour over all the gradients and dimensions of your feeling perception. This is what enables you to walk a truer path, beyond the web of judgment, comparison values and pursuit of self gratification that always produces inertia of spirit.

When you learn to be sensitive to the voice within and acknowledge its guidance you lead yourself onto the path of natural evolution.

Remember, you are how you vibrate! How close is your vibrational bar to love?

A Simpler Approach to Life Between Points of Tension

A Simpler Approach to Life Between Points of Tension

“To live with simplicity is to unburden our lives—to live more lightly, cleanly, aerodynamically.” ~Duane Elgin

At a time when we have heard the spectrum of excuses for the failing order and experience its unworthy actions that ask for our trust just long enough until the next dupe are the shifting of the pieces on the chessboard as a collective distraction. This peaceful warrior has recognized the timely fact that an inner re-evolution must meet the outer need.

Amidst the outer chaos and political theatre is a nebulous transition that is opportune in loosening the stranglehold on our body-mind. As these points of tensions meet, illusions are pierced and the desire for glamour loses its glitter. We see the magnetic lure as a weight on personal creativity and a downslide into mediocrity. We finally get that the deep focus on material things has been at the cost of spiritual values and we step back, shift our consciousness and redirect our growing pains from the global financial crisis towards the freedom of simplicity.

This simpler approach to life offers tremendous opportunity to serve the Souls plan as a great “army of implacable spiritual will,” in a time of momentous decision.

“Simplicity and union are related, for simplicity is one-pointedness of outlook and clarity of purpose, and these are descriptive of life lived at a point of spiritual tension. In such a state one becomes a participant in a process of distribution of spiritual energy from the highest realms of our planetary life to the outermost reaches of life on earth, and this is the opportunity [before us].” ~Lucis Trust

This period in our evolutionary history is called the “Aquarian Age” focused in goodwill—the sharing of resources with the collective consciousness, while holding steadfast our individuation. As a responsive cooperative channel—the collective heart of humanity makes every effort to release the water of life poured forth for a thirsty world. This sharing of higher values and clear spiritual focus in all human relations is the gift of the Aquarian Age, as it contains the seeds of solution to the world’s crisis on all levels of living, both personal and in all relations, human and otherwise.

Let us as a cohesive, united force of Light begin to understand the significance of “Global Communion” aka group service in these early stages of human consciousness development and set an example the characteristic of sharing—the will-to good. Sharing in authenticity opens the heart and lets in the flow of Love to absorb, circulate and distribute into the veins of culture throughout the world. Alice Bailey wrote that, “this sharing, beginning on the physical plane, will prove equally true of all human relations and this will be the great gift of the Aquarian Age to humanity.”

We are wise to broaden our consciousness to the fact!

INTEGRATION of the MASCULINE and FEMININE PRINCIPLE

INTEGRATION of the MASCULINE and FEMININE PRINCIPLE

By Alisa Battaglia, BD, EFT, CHT, TH

The expressions of masculine and feminine energies are the focal point when we lose ourselves or encounter troubled parts of our being. When the Anima and Animus or soul is disconnected, there is self-devaluation and subjection to all sorts of self-limiting beliefs and painful emotions. Unfortunately, the systemic root within modern culture is to look outside of self for answers to inner dilemmas. This attitude is most prominent in the realm of relationships where vital energy for achieving inner congruency expends itself outwardly in search for the perfect companion. Although, relationships are one of the most fulfilling aspects of life because they mirror what is necessary to learn about ourselves through another, they also promote co-dependence when we look to them for our wholeness. Using a relationship as a crutch or distraction from self always stifles growth. Instead, we might guide one other to connect with the authentic self, the wise inner being that nourishes and frees us from attachments.

Regardless of gender or sexual orientation, there is both a feminine and a masculine part of our nature. True femininity, is connected to the masculine and true masculinity is connected to the feminine. Bridging and maintaining balance between these two compelling forces of energy is a power sharing arrangement. The archetypal forces of the assertive masculine qualities and the receptive feminine qualities are both fundamental parts of our bio-psycho-spiritual development.

Too often, there is restraint from fully animating the masculine side of nature because there is belief that it will harm or violate others, especially if experience has proven it so. In reality, power is neutral and depending on intent, power either harms or helps. In addition, the feminine counterpart erroneously equates with weakness and accommodation. However, we are power, effective and free when we animate both our masculine and feminine energies from a place of love and openness as opposed to fear and defensiveness. The result of inner fusion produces a shift in consciousness as a state of sovereignty within us. Sovereignty allows the soul that is whom we are to achieve with ease its true purpose, which frees us of co-dependency so we may relate to others in an authentic way that is not sabotaged by neediness of the bifurcated personality.

The feminine and masculine archetype represents through the right and left halves of the brain and the corresponding sides of the body. It is always interesting to note the side of the body where personal will, injury and pain originate. Are they fairly limited to one side of the body or are they evenly dispersed in different areas? Observing the pattern and where tensions or dis-eases, our strengths or weaknesses in body and character are held, is just as important as to which side of the body the imbalance dominates. Essentially, the left side of the body is the receptive side of the body with a negative ion (-) and therefore, feminine, which relates to emotions and intuition. The feminine principle provides the nurturing, inner awareness and vision to guide us through life. The right side of the body with a positive ion (+) is action oriented and therefore, masculine, which relates to logic and focused mental pursuits. The masculine principle provides the action and the will needed to meet our destination. If the introspective feminine is underactive and the active masculine is overactive, a clear and soulful sense of life direction is absent. Conversely, if an appropriate direction is envisioned of where we want to go in the feminine, but the masculine is underactive, there lacks will, making it difficult to ignite into action and accomplish goals.

Overactive masculine energy is characterized by tough love, hyper mental focus and achievement oriented. In such an overactive state, alot of mental energy is expended -circuitously locked in a pattern of unfulfillment even after months or years of effort  only to feel burdened with a backlog of unfinished projects and unfulfilled desires. This often relates to people married to their job or see value in life only in terms of materialism. In turn, underactive feminine energy often becomes an “inability to do” that relies on relationships as a substitute for self-development. Internally, masculine and feminine energies need to be working in tandem to protect mutual sovereignty. This means that when the relationship between the masculine and feminine self is non-communicative, inner energies are not working together in harmony and therefore, vulnerable to internal and external invasion. While the feminine is most vulnerable to the controlling masculine and saviorship patterns, the masculine is equally responsible for the pattern of invasion of its feminine counterpart and others. If the male cannot trust and surrender to his inner feminine he will find it difficult to trust and surrender in his relationships or will use his fear and mistrust to seek power over others. If the female cannot trust and use her masculine edge or inner phallic to defend herself or her family unit and support herself wisely, she will use this energy negatively to her detriment. She will either mistrust or hurt others with it unable to trust or surrender in her relationships or she will give her energy away on a silver platter and render herself victim to masculine power. She is unable to stand in her presence and fortify boundaries to feel safe, which is masculine energy. The healing process begins when a relational dialogue develops between the masculine and feminine energies, one at a time. This means getting to know the energetic expressions of each domain and how they play out in our lives.

Wise to grasp that men and women are equal in value, but different in function. Understood this way both gender principles can be developed equally, rather than take a lopsided approach. For example, a common experience occurs when the feminine vision is clear, but the masculine heads off in another direction for lack of inner dialogue that prevents understanding and/or achievement of true purpose. In such a state of imbalance, the inner feminine expression is thwarted and fear takes over trust, intuitive guidance or wisdom. However, when knowingness and common sense of the masculine is confirmed by the feminine intuition, balance is found. We need to be both strong and sensitive, to dance without being polarized.

Awareness produces an ever-increasing dictum of how life exists in polarity or dual nature. When the masculine and feminine self becomes an integrated composite of highly creative energies or sovereign, spiritual forces flow throughout the body and we experience our lives more fully, inner directed and move forward on our path. When these energies are out of balance, progress is generally difficult, if not impossible.

Cultivating spiritual ethics, a set of values mediated not by thinking, but by feeling truth is a path of action that takes us from awareness to presence and in touch with lovingness, compassion and kindness that does not harm, but protects life.

WE THE PEOPLE ~ A Collective Energy Field

WE THE PEOPLE
A Collective Energy Field

By Alisa Battaglia

From the heart of creation emanates a holographic force field that underlies the fabric of existence in its many dimensions.  It connects all life that has ever been, is, and of the future and is the pathway back to Source. This force is so great and will always prevail over the seeming—the circumstances that we perceive as suffering, devastation, and war that is a thread in the divisive seam of time, an occurring part in the whole system of creation that we call reality.

The glue that holds this One Life together is LOVE. Love is the Master Grid that ensures the appropriate distribution of life-force energy that provides the templates needed for material creation, and is the physicalized expression of the sacred code of creation itself. Love is the blueprint of consciousness expressed in harmonic form. The Love principle is an example of feminine spiritual heart energy or compassion held within and completely embodied in the physicality and lived as that light essence.

Each of us has a force field around us—a personal grid that connects us to the Unity Grid, the Earth Grid and the Mass Consciousness Grid. Tapping into a particular grid will reveal its particular expression and myriad emanations.

The current mass consciousness grid or template misuses spiritual masculine force in the expression of life energy. Resonating within this collective energy field is how we have a shared experience on the planet. There is no wonder that its lower vibration provides the channel way to spread divisiveness through fear, pain, stagnation, war, poverty, hunger, disease and victimhood.

There are myriad belief structures or programs that are not necessarily true or provide the “only” alternative to the way life must be. We all have the same potential within us to live our higher Self—to embody a new awareness. To be fully aware in the body as indwelling souls that operates at a higher reality of ideals rather than standards. Embodying the awareness, this knowing as that, is the journey of our existence. The biggest illusion that we must disengage from —to make the break from the mass conscious survivalist grid to the Master Grid of Unity Consciousness —is the illusion of separation. We are all divinely interconnected.

Since we each are connected to the Master Grid we, too can live as an expression of the sublime. We can choose which field of expression to live, move and have our being. Ultimate reality states that we are Love.

Forgiveness~ Disconnecting from the Past

Forgiveness
Disconnecting from the Past
By Alisa Battaglia

When we have surrendered our expectations, softened our hearts and found the gift in our wounding experiences we are ready to activate the heart through forgiveness. Forgiveness may not be easy, but it will make us feel better by freeing our negativity and increasing our self control. The role of forgiveness is essential in our healing passage because it disconnects us from the grippings of the past and gives us confidence to get through other tough situations without harboring resentment, panicking or losing control. Forgiving does not mean that we have to forget what was done to us, or suddenly befriend or approve of someone who has trespassed against us. It does mean that we release our aggressors of any lingering resentments and also to forgive ourselves from mis-takes so that we may finally move forward to be wholly present in our lives.

As we evolve and develop a greater depth of understanding there is a natural willingness to engage in forgiveness.  The very act of forgiveness heals, constructs bridges and breaks down barriers in building right relationships in families, groups, communities, nations and humanity—the world of the soul.  It is understood that without forgiveness there can be no authentic relationships unless separative and narrow thinking are relinquished.

Forgiveness is not only a charitable act or benevolent gesture that we bestow or withhold at times. True forgiveness is actually an act that we do for ourselves to let go of the burden that hurt brings when we hold on. For example, we first experience a transgression as a loss in peace, happiness and separation that causes us to build defenses to keep a person out of our lives. Holding such a burden usurps our vital energy and we suffer in myriad ways. When we love ourselves we do what we need to do to liberate ourselves from the bondage of feeling separate, otherwise we trap ourselves in the ignorance that we are NOT from the same One Life and Source and we trespass against ourselves. True forgiveness helps to bind the spiritual realms ever closer to humanity. It is the recognition of our Oneness and the remembrance of our True Self as immortal spirit.

Both religious and psychological traditions have long extolled the virtues of forgiveness in the promotion of psychological, relationship and physical health. In fact, research studies conducted through the Stanford Forgiveness Projects have shown forgiveness to reduce anger, hurt, depression and stress, which leads to greater feelings of optimism, hope, compassion and self confidence. Holding onto blame, judgment and expectation keeps our wounds open, while only forgiveness heals.

The four stages of forgiveness found in Clarissa Pinkola-Estes’s book, “Women who Run with the Wolves” is an alchemical recipe that catharts us through the forgiveness process. It provides an actual capacity to disconnect from the object of our attention imbuing universal wisdom.

  • to forego- to leave it alone
  • to forebear – to abstain from punishing
  • to forget – to aver from memory, to refuse to dwell

All of Life is in Polarity

All of Life is in Polarity
By Alisa Battaglia

All of life is in polarity-that is, in relationship to its opposite or polar energy and our level of connectivity in relation to it. For instance, our relationship in opposition to the social structures set into place. The disconnection or division comes from having to labor our living at the expense of our creative soul urge. Life demands that we work and pay taxes for our keep and yet this causes a drain on our life force creating exhaustion, dis-ease and aberrations. The balance, of course, between the two polarities would be to find right livelihood…in so many terms, to “Live our Bliss.”

The second opposition that we struggle with is our relationship to our environment. With the first opposition in concretization, there is little time for connection with nature outside office buildings. In cars, we come and go to the workplace, the mall, grocery stores and so on. We pass by what is left of nature around us. We are disconnected because there is no real connection to the environment. This lack of connectivity to nature causes us to disengage from vital life preserving forces that through connection would align us by default to the greater rhythm of our planetary body and the Kosmic circuit in which it resides. Harmonizing with nature whether by walking through a park, gardening, or even honoring the moons monthly cycles puts us in touch with the greater rhythm that has become so elusive in our busy lives.

The polarity continues as we move within because what we see that is not right in society is actually a reflection of the collective mindset in a particular area. This points us in the direction of looking at that which is not right within us. Inner conflict runs between extremes. On one end of the polarity spectrum there is total withdrawal expressed as narcissism in the personality complex. The narcissistic defense mechanism is one that detaches emotions from intimate forms of connectivity with a need to control life, people and circumstances. Functioning from the head, the focus is most often on material gain or position while the emotions are withdrawn from the needs of self and others. Sensitivity and inner sight of the authentic nature is lost and life is superficial and myopic. However, for every control freak there is a counterpart to play out the role of victimhood or supplicant. This is best expressed in the co-dependent and addictive mindset whose intense emotional grasping to things, people and circumstances causes them to lose sight of their deepest needs and desires as a human being. Again with the focus powered onto the object of ones attention-things, people, drugs and alcohol, money and gambling, clothes and glamour, thoughts, and so on, the fulfillment of the immediate need causes the mind to skim only the surface of self, others and life. Both expressions, one overly mental and one emotional, produce disjointed human beings. When time is not taken to examine what is right and not right within us, we live miserable, lonely and loveless lives. Passion for life’s gifts, mysteries or energy to investigate them is lost, as life energy is disconnected from the Kosmos, nature and self…and slowly the spirit within is asphyxiated from lack of connection to the wellspring of life. The spirit within is the nexus of our existence – it is the force that animates our body, the Promethian Spark that gives life and substance to an otherwise lifeless body.

The next polarity and perhaps the most vital, as it moves to the very core of our existence is between the human being in relation to spirit – the polarity between resistance to living our inner light and fully embracing our divinity. The question is “Who are you in relationship to this borrowed body whose name you call yourself?” “Are you the body or the dweller within the body?” This apparent disconnection to the source of our being is the very peril that binds us from liberation. Our mental constraints take the lead setting parameters when the soul is timeless and without human boundary. The soul’s limitless space reflects the potential of our human capacity. Our connection to the source of our divinity is the stuff that all of life is made. In this space or void, the boundaryless fairway of existence is the opposite spectrum of our human struggle – the brain that divides, bifurcates, separates and sections off with an attachment to ways of perceiving and living. Finally, the polarity of the soul in relation to Spirit – between the souls urge to immerse back into Sources spiraling well of energy as One Life or attachment to the souls sheath.

In all these levels of connectivity and separateness are layers and layers of differentiation between them. The balance point always meets at the neutral middle – the center path of heart where there is acceptance in the reflection of the other. It is the point of light within us that is wise, creative, joyful and loving. This sacred point of light that is the true self within is the initiator between extremes, the conjoiner of opposites – the multitude of polarities that exists on this plane. When we arise from the heart of neutrality, the true center of reality we act as the center point between Heaven and Earth.
