A Simpler Approach to Life Between Points of Tension

A Simpler Approach to Life Between Points of Tension

“To live with simplicity is to unburden our lives—to live more lightly, cleanly, aerodynamically.” ~Duane Elgin

At a time when we have heard the spectrum of excuses for the failing order and experience its unworthy actions that ask for our trust just long enough until the next dupe are the shifting of the pieces on the chessboard as a collective distraction. This peaceful warrior has recognized the timely fact that an inner re-evolution must meet the outer need.

Amidst the outer chaos and political theatre is a nebulous transition that is opportune in loosening the stranglehold on our body-mind. As these points of tensions meet, illusions are pierced and the desire for glamour loses its glitter. We see the magnetic lure as a weight on personal creativity and a downslide into mediocrity. We finally get that the deep focus on material things has been at the cost of spiritual values and we step back, shift our consciousness and redirect our growing pains from the global financial crisis towards the freedom of simplicity.

This simpler approach to life offers tremendous opportunity to serve the Souls plan as a great “army of implacable spiritual will,” in a time of momentous decision.

“Simplicity and union are related, for simplicity is one-pointedness of outlook and clarity of purpose, and these are descriptive of life lived at a point of spiritual tension. In such a state one becomes a participant in a process of distribution of spiritual energy from the highest realms of our planetary life to the outermost reaches of life on earth, and this is the opportunity [before us].” ~Lucis Trust

This period in our evolutionary history is called the “Aquarian Age” focused in goodwill—the sharing of resources with the collective consciousness, while holding steadfast our individuation. As a responsive cooperative channel—the collective heart of humanity makes every effort to release the water of life poured forth for a thirsty world. This sharing of higher values and clear spiritual focus in all human relations is the gift of the Aquarian Age, as it contains the seeds of solution to the world’s crisis on all levels of living, both personal and in all relations, human and otherwise.

Let us as a cohesive, united force of Light begin to understand the significance of “Global Communion” aka group service in these early stages of human consciousness development and set an example the characteristic of sharing—the will-to good. Sharing in authenticity opens the heart and lets in the flow of Love to absorb, circulate and distribute into the veins of culture throughout the world. Alice Bailey wrote that, “this sharing, beginning on the physical plane, will prove equally true of all human relations and this will be the great gift of the Aquarian Age to humanity.”

We are wise to broaden our consciousness to the fact!

Live Differently & Agree to Budget

Part 3 in the New Economy Series

Acquiring information and advice about how to manage or invest our money is easy. The trick is to act on the information, to do something that improves your life and the lives of those you love. That’s what wielding the energy of money is all about. ~Maria Nemeth

Budgeting is a plan that helps people make the best use of their income and savings.

Distinguish between wants and needs. Realistic, workable budgets result when couples agree to provide carefully for their needs and to exercise self-discipline and patience as they seek to provide for some of their wants.

Most families can reduce some of their expenditures with a little resourcefulness and accountability. Begin budgeting by listing all expenditures from several previous months. Determine where the money went and which expenditures were unnecessary and which were necessary. Then decide what you can do yourself like: washing & ironing clothes instead of using a dry cleaner, growing your own food – an urban food forest to offset rising food prices & GMO pesticide foods, install solar panels, efficent appliances, and rain barrels to water plants, plant shrubs to keep home cool and convert lawn and landscaping using xerscaping.

Budget for other set expenses, such as rent or mortgage, utilities, food, clothing, debt reduction, and transportation. By carefully analyzing past months’ spending, you can obtain a realistic idea of how much to allot for each item. When buying clothes, get rid of old clothes that don’t fit or are worn and donate or sell them at a second hand store. Don’t accumulate!!!

Pay yourself first! Put money aside in a savings program after necessary expenses have been budgeted. Starting both a short-and long-term savings program can help you meet unplanned emergencies as well as provide for future major expenses.

Budgets should be flexible, if not they usually fail. Allot personal spending money that need not be accounted for.

Take into account affordable recreation and allow for some spontaneity- the unplanned diversions or for items that are a part of joyful living.

Use a regular portion of income to prepare for future needs.
